BluesFest takes place at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall from Tuesday 29 October – Friday 1 November.

In addition, the Royal Albert Hall will open its incredible vault of memorabilia from an unrivalled history that includes rock and roll artefacts from Eric Clapton, The Stones, BB King, Muddy Waters and many more.
 
In the evening there will be two concerts each night, taking place in the early and late part of the evening in the main auditorium. Headliners include Robert Plant, Van Morrison, Bobby Womack, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Chris Rea amongst others.

BluesFest comes to London’s Royal Albert Hall this autumn for a four-day celebration of incredible music from some of the world’s greatest blues and blues-influenced artists.

There’s a button in front for ejecting the drives, and a glowing blue ring that doubles a power switch. The $47 base will also accept 2.5” in addition to 3.5” internal. The designer puts some extra weight in the rack to avoid the drive from tipping over.

ACME Portable Machines, Inc. - 3 LCD Surround System

Instead of requiring three different monitors (with three power cords, three cables, and so on), this display folds up into a neat tidy package. When folded, the display and keyboard fit into a 3-rack unit mount that will slide in and out of server rack space. The unit went on display at the Taitronics Autumn 2007 show in Taipei, Taiwan, and is expected to ship in 2008 for an undisclosed price.

Nachdem ich noch über einen Kubikmeter Kassetten haben, wäre das keine schlechte Anschaffung:

The ASCII-Code curtains, by Dutch designer Nienke Sybrandy, visualize the information network in a tree, using the very codes that represent text in computers, communications equipment, and other devices that work with text.

Plugged into a home network, Semaclock connects to the Internet to retrieve news and topics of interest from one of the thousands of freely-available RSS feeds, and then displays them using the semaphore alphabet.

Carefully designed by Tim Elverston, this high-end addition to the WindFire collection marks the beginning of the WindFire OS Series. The „Cursor Kite” featires quad-line control, asymmetrical framing, invisible stainless fittings, and opposed-bow tensioning for the sail.

The Humdinga, basically a modified Hummer, is able to reach 64 km/h on water, thanks to its 350bhp engine that, when using its wheels on the ground, can take the American tank up to over 160 km/h.

„The wheels retract, the power train switches from the wheels to a jet propulsion system and the vehicle is in amphibious mode” says maker Gibbs Technology, clearly hoping robot fever wins it a bit of positive PR.

The Humdinga is currently a one-off prototype, though, which is probably for the best as even the insurance on a 1.8 Golf is a bit much to swallow these days.
